Carnival Fallinglight is one of the Great Elder Hellmites, full of profound wisdom, providing one can catch the old thing long enough to make the peculiar creature talk. Carny's most notable trait is the tendency to swim in anything but a straight line, but to do so with lightning quickness. It is said Carny survived to be so old by creating whirlpools to discourage or misdirect predators who would have harmed the hidden tribe.
