Waysides on the Road to Godhood

Of the two large pieces in this installation, one is a dramatization of the mishaps which a human being can undergo in attempting to find him or herself. The other piece describes a tale of the isolate will of the focused consciousness stumbling against the false promises and so-called freedoms provided by contemporary American capitalist democracy and the simultaneous blessing/curse of the predominant Western culture. The viewer is encouraged to spend time with the pieces and guess which is which.

The existence of these two pieces is the result of a continuing process which is far from over. Some studies and previous, related works have been displayed on the east wall, so that viewers may observe a portion of the progress up to this point.

Musical accompaniment for this exhibit is an original custom sound collage entitled "Music for Clowns on the Verge of Extinction", provided exclusively by Jon "Skincage" Ray of Tuscon, Arizona.

Readers may wish to know that the thesis exhibit was not fully completed until Ann Koi walked down the aisle and picked up her diploma wearing a party clown suit, lime green 'fairy' wig, and tactical military vest. Photographs pending.
